Some laptops have hardwired procersors others don't. you will be lucky if your laptop has a removable processor. WHat brand laptop do you have?

In general you can't upgrade much in a laptop. The most notable exception being memory where most laptops have an access panel on the bottom directly to the RAM sticks where there's USUALLY an extra slot available. Other than that things get more difficult to access or physically impossible to upgrade.

You have sufficient memory for most tasks, so I'd just clean up your system to make it run like new. Then wait until you can afford a new laptop.

(for the record, while I know it's possible in some cases, I don't know anyone who's upgraded their laptop CPU)
