I found this in another forum I frequent. Copy the last funky character in this post to your post and test it out yourself. Can anyone give any speculation where this is from or if it's a glitch?

I don't think it is a glitch but the character which you are referring to is most probably is a unicode character which makes the typed character in reverse.
The reason why I am saying this is because when you try to select the line the selection that is the blue highlighting is reversed from the last. thus this is a special symbol which reverses the selection.
Oh now I copy pasted your line, it says "it makes everything in reverse", so I was correct buddy!!
You know techie people know everything aboud coding, And I am a newbie techie!
Anyways may I know from where you got to know about this special symbol?, I myself came across it while I was surfing on a community portal known as orkut.
This unicode symbol is very useful on orkut, I won't reveal why!(it's for you to find out!!)
