Hello there,
I'm looking for a high-end video editing program that runs on Vista. Currently I've been making do with "Windows Movie Maker", but it's a really terrible program with a serious lack of features. I have an older copy of Adobe Premiere (6.0) but there's no way I'm getting it to run on Vista.
At this point, I kinda wish I had bought a Mac.
Any suggestions?!
I worked with Pinnacle Studio v9 but I don't know if that soft fills your needs.
Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 should run on Vista and it really is a high-end video editor!
The only problem is that it costs a whole lot of money...
So far the high end application for video editing should be Adobe Premiere CS3.
Or optional the Adobe After Effect CS3.
But you should check their requirement first because I know all there programs
require large amount of memory such 1GB and above. ( It is independence of
Operating System. A total for both would require 2 GB for a typical and 3GB or
above for some larger files operations ).
You don't want to try editing video on Vista. I shan't bore you with the full details but Microsoft's DRM has the ability to permanently degrade the quality of the video that you are editing if you (even accidentally) play a DRM-protected song in a different program at the same time. Also, you need a very powerful computer to edit video - by the time you include the overhead for Vista you are talking either extremely expensive or extremely slow rendering.
Adobe's aren't high end.
High end compositing softwares are only for Linux/Mac. Very few are for Windows. Take a look at Fusion...

I use adobe premiere CS3. it is considered quite good for a Windows video editing software. IMO, i tink tt the best video software would be Final Cut Pro by Apple, but the prob is tt it onli works on Mac.
