The Big Bang Theory is the dominant scientific theory about the origin of the universe. According to the big bang, the universe was created sometime between 10 billion and 20 billion years ago from a cosmic explosion that hurled matter and in all directions.
In 1927, the Belgian priest Georges Lemaître was the first to propose that the universe began with the explosion of a primeval atom. His proposal came after observing the red shift in distant nebulas by astronomers to a model of the universe based on relativity. Years later, Edwin Hubble found experimental evidence to help justify Lemaître's theory. He found that distant galaxies in every direction are going away from us with speeds proportional to their distance.
The big bang was initially suggested because it explains why distant galaxies are traveling away from us at great speeds. The theory also predicts the existence of cosmic background radiation (the glow left over from the explosion itself). The Big Bang Theory received its strongest confirmation when this radiation was discovered in 1964 by Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson, who later won the Nobel Prize for this discovery.
Although the Big Bang Theory is widely accepted, it probably will never be proved; consequentially, leaving a number of tough, unanswered questions.
The Big Bang.
Its a really tough subject.
ALMOST along the lines of religion but I'll not start with that.
There's enough proof to make everyone happy and contempt with what they know but truly are not positive if that is actually what happened.
I honestly believe something did have to happen to create everything but according to the book of Genesis God made earth and everything on it in 7 days, nothing was said about every other plant in the Universe. And if something did happen many, many, many other somethings had to occur for these other things to happen.
What created this atom? what created that which created the atom? Something doesn't just appear out of nothingness.
And this big cosmic explosion hurling stuff everywhere, where the hell did all the "stuff" come from? something had to have created it, therefore making parts of the big bang theory obsolete. They say the Big Bang created all that we know but... there just happened to be matter before any of it was created?
Honestly, I stopped caring a long time ago. It's all to confusing to me.
I heard that there is another theory that says that the universe is going to implode soon. My question is, if they can calculate all this, why can't they calculate when it's going to implode? Have they already done it? And if they have, how long does mankind have left?
lol
I yet to hear anything like this.
But there is NO way to calculate whether the whole universe is going to implode and when it will implode. It's not like watching the fuse on a stick of dynamite and saying " Hey, look at that! We're all gonna die in a few seconds! Yay!" Doesn't work like that, sorry. lol. It's just another ridiculous "theory" they probably came up with to get a startle out of people or some little spoof that some people thought of to get noticed by. I don't know honestly, but I can tell you it isn't true
And I mean, besides even if they could Somehow have a chance in hell to figure out when we were all to die, I'm pretty sure they would not be able to leak it to the public. Something that big could result in mass chaos, something the government would not allow.
I do however, believe it could be possible to have a mass explosion somewhere in space to have so much energy involved it creates reactions across the universe, exploding every planet/sun/star/w.e if comes in contact with wiping out all that we know but even then, the universe I doubt would cease to exist because all those explosions would then create other stars/planets/suns/w.e through the process we do know that happens today, planets making new planets or suns when a planet itself implodes and creates new life out of scratch. As ridiculous as this sounds, I'm guessing it could be possible, but not highly likely to happen....ever. lol
