What do you think of French cars?

ZzZ_AluCarD_ZzZ
Hello everyone,

I would like to know your thinkings about french cars.

Do you love it? are they beautiful, safety and comfortable?

To my mind french cars's design is 'special' and I prefer the german ones. Moreover it is said that french car are not reliable (garanties are always very short....)

I didn't know the French made cars. What are some examples. I don't think we have any here in the US.

you have some manufacturers like:

Renault (Clio, Megane, Laguna)

Peugeot (206, 406)

Citroen (C3)

I know that Renault had many difficulties to sell cars in US.

^Well, you say they sell them in the US, but in all my time I've never seen a French car here, and I'd notice if I did.
I don't doubt that they are sold here, but I know for a fact that they are very, very rare in these parts.

I think that back in the 80's Renault was sold in the US. But I haven't seen one in probably 15 years. I don't think that they are sold here in the states any more.

I've seen a few 80s Peugeots, and my father used to own a Renault or Citroen (forget which), but they stopped in the 80s.

As for the newer cars, a lot of the Peugets are nice, I think, and the Renault Clio is pretty cool, but a lot of the cars are really funny-looking, along with all of the trucks/vans I've seen.

Renaults, Citroens, and Peugeots have all been available in the US, and none are likely to be any time soon (unless we get a Nissan-rebadged Renault?).

i think french cars are fairly good , I have a 1927 Vernon Derby that was made in Paris many years ago , the engine was fairly advanced in comparrison to other makes of cars , it has overhead valves when most cars were side valve , it`s 1100 cc Ruby engine gives out plenty of power to carry the two seater bodywork.
my daughter has a peugeot 106 as her first car and that too is fairly advanced with anti lock brakes and goes like a rocket , a bit too fast for a young driver.
Laughing Very Happy

If I knew how to post a picture of the cars I would do this but I have not beeen a ble to find out how to do it .
Ian.
