Meteor Shower over Britain....

wellerchap
...the last few nights have provided us with a great show of shooting stars.....last night, the skies were crystal clear and all constallations were clearly visible to the naked eye.
I stood in my garden at midnight & saw 10 or 12 flash across the sky in as many minutes...astronomers predicted as many as 100 per hour could be seen at 4am this morning.
Did anyone else witness any of this?

I was watching almost every night from Monday onwards. I saw some quite spectacular meteors, especially on Saturday & Sunday nights.

whereabouts in the world are you/is Beaverland Shocked

Did you see many multiple ones, or was it all one-at-a-time stuff?

I was discussing how these things occur with my friend yesterday, and still struggled to comprehend their speed, size and distance from us, even though he's a learned chap & put it all very well.

I'm afraid I don't have a cemara that is good enough to capture much at night time...especially moving stuff....it just turns out a blur of streaky light.
My constant frustration though has led me to read up on good cameras though, and (although they're very expensive) I hope I may get one soon.
