Vista problem?? can someone help me out??

i am a vista home basic user.
well, i am a chinese stuff lover too!!
but every time i download a chinese name mp3 or file, the name became code look word??
but some can be red as well...
the browser ave no problem with chinese character ...
what should i do???

you have to install the chinese language pack for vista, it should be in your updates section.

Please install the chinese language support files and change you menu and dialog default language to Tranditional Chinese if you are use Taiwan chinese or Simplify Chinese you are china fans.

Start -> Control Panel -> Regional Options

i updated it oready it still wont work...
changing the region langguege seting had causing some of my computer software crash...
s there any other better way??

Installing the keyboard for the language in question should give the pc the ability to display those characters for sure. Vista on the other hand has support natively even if you're not typing in that language.

I use Vista and I have several songs that are Japanese, and the names display fine.

I'd consult MS help by selecting Start > Help and Support, then type language display. This just tells you to install a keyboard language, but this at least gives you step-by-step instructions... Wink
