OMG like everything in my life is way too scripted and coincidental. If I wasn't a skeptic I would think I was a psychic...
Like b4 you read this (somewhat) amazing tale lemme tell you I am a skeptic and I know humans always tend to glamourize one small coincidence to try and prove telepathy exists...still read on.
Okay a hour and half ago my parents asked me if I wanted to go to the park...I was busy playing a game so I said no. I happened to look outside as their car left the parking lot and then returned to the game. I exited the game about a minute later (because I wanted to use a joystick instead of a mouse) and then returned and the game wouldn't let me login to play. After several tries I went to their website and they said they were undergoing server maintance. So I waited for an hour or so and while I was waiting I thought "I'll bet this game will work as soon as my parents return." What do you know, as soon as they returned, about 5 seconds later the server is back online...
Also, as soon as I posted this game isn't working again...
Life's full of coincidence and, occasionally, synchronicity.
Some events in my experience:
1 - Head crashes.
I used to work with some very large (for their time) mainframe computers. The disc drives were huge exchangeable disc packs - about 18" diameter and 8 (IIRC) aluminium platters covered with magnetic recording material. I was in technical support - I was responsible for recovering data and software whenever there was a failure that corrupted any of it.
One afternoon I remarked, to the Production Manager, that we hadn't had any head crashes in a long time. It had been about 6 months.
That weekend we had seven in a row.
Coincidence - but the incident was probably brewing up anyway as we'd had a long clear period. It was just odd that I'd mentioned it just before it happened.
2 - Terrorism.
One day, at work, I said to one of my colleagues that I was surprised the IRA weren't blowing up bridges on the mainland. That night they did exactly that - for the first time. Up until then they'd concentrated on special events but had left traffic and transport systems alone.
3 - It couldn't get any worse - or could it.
I was working, in Cagayan d'Oro, with a company upgrading a telephone billing system. Just as we were closing the old system down, ready for the upgrade, there was a hardware failure that corrupted the systems to such an extent that we were unable to retrieve the data by conventional means - and Oracle refused to help.
We spent several long days (and nights) sorting it out and eventually got it all working again using the new system.
The IT Manager commented that it couldn't have been any worse. I said it could have been a lot worse. That afternoon there was an earthquake with its epicentre on the island. Fortunately no damage was done to our hardware and systems - but it was a timely reminder that things can always be worse than you think they are - and I earned a reputation as an Oracle!
4 - Volvo brakes.
Last week I noticed the front brakes were down to metal on my Volvo. As usual I'm a bit short of cash so I'd been putting the job off (and I don't like working on cars any more but can't afford to get this done by someone else).
At the weekend I went to a car boot sale. It's rare to find any car parts at car boots, where I live, let alone the parts you need for the car you own. At the first stall I went to I noticed a brand new set of pads. The seller claimed they were for a Volvo 940 - front - and he wanted £2 for them.
The job has now been done and I'm very happy with my £2 investment.
this happened to me yesterday funnily enough
i was doing some soldering at work,i using a solder sucker and i broke of the plunger. on e0f the nice lady reworkers laughed and was teasing on how she has had hers for year sand not broke it, that very day she broke it.
coincedence? tempted fait? or maybe she just had it so long it was due to break, just funny it should happen second after she said about it.
Sounds like coincidence to me.. humans always try to make everything seem meaningful and such..
Here is a simple example: If you throw five dices, one of the possibilities is 5 sixes right? It is as likely to happen as a 5,3, 4, 1 and then a 6, for example. With 6 Billion people doing a dice throw, there will be more then a few having 5 sixes..
Get my point?

Agreed. There is no coincidence whatsoever, it just happens and we just wanted to put meaning to it. We like being super beings no?
Murphy Rules.
OMG once I wanted a banaane and i ate one -- - COINKIDINK!@!!
It's true, sometimes I feel that way, it's weird. Sometimes when I want something then someone else gives it to me eventually... it got to the point of freakiness... I got a kitkat, then I said to myself wouldn't it be nice to have one on the plane, then my friend shows up with the EXACT same kind of kitkat and says 'i thought you would want this for the plane' lmao... those things happen to me too much. I guess it's just coincidence.
Yes yes I know there a 7 billion humans and humans always leave out any lack of coincidences however...there is a possibility that my parents called the server and told them to shut down...
Humans are funny. Over time, we only remember the good/unusual events, but forget about the bad/mundane ones. Thus, coincidences are just that. Coincidences. However, we do remember them more.
Another example.
I have a friend who works in a retirement home. She's an activities coordinator and does a lot of crafting with the residents. A few weeks ago she asked me to make some flower presses. I've been meaning to get the bits to cobble some together.
Last weekend I went to a local car boot and found - 3 flower presses! I'm at some car boot, or other, almost every weekend and have never noticed flower presses before. Of those I found one was far too big - it looked more like a trouser press. One was home made - it looks crap but does the job. The third is a beautiful Victorian one with heavy bronze screws (ideal for tired elderly hands to grip), and nicely stained hardwood. I ignored the first one and bought the others for £3 each.
Far cheaper than making them!
Just coincidence - but very welcome, all the same.

man I wish that were so, for me is the opposite...
After I augment my brain with cybertronics everything we'll be back to normal...better than normal,,,perfect really.
