Ajax and mysql and PHP, pulling info from a database

hey every1

I was just wondering how I would go about using Ajax to pull information from a mysql database. Basicly I have a page and I want to be able to click links and that the pages content pages with out reloading.If any1 could give me some example code or send me a link of a good turoial.

you cannot use ajax to pull info from a db. actually.. you can.. it's just that there is middleman, which is in maximum cases, a cgi intermediate like for example, a php file.

you use ajax to call the php file, and the php then loads the data from the database. I wrote a tutorial on ajax, which essentially uses a php backend for data extraction from a database. Check it here: http://www.frihost.com/forums/vt-39219.html
