SEO Friendly URLs

sathiyasri
Hi,

Can someone point me to a resource to help me understand 'SEO friendly URLs' better.

Thank you
dwikristianto
simple i think.
replace all id (number) into human readable words

example:
Quote:

http://yourdomain/page.php?id=1

http://yourdomain/page/1/about_something_in_your_page

for that, u need apache modrewrite.

there are more things to do in addition to the above person's suggestion.

It does not affect search engine rankings in anyways.

Just try to make a human readable/memorable url rather than trying to make it search engine friendly.

Well i think, first try to make it search engine and other reading software friendly and then make it human friendly within the first prescribed limit.

I would say it can do. If people post a url to a page in a forum. often the anchor text will be the url and then it's better to have these keywords in the url.
