This has to be at least a little big for american soccer fans.. Surprised

I read somewhere he signed a 4 year contract with Benfica which is kind of odd, but good for him, since a lot of the bigger clubs in Europe were after him as well..

Will be fun to see if he can have the same impact on Benfica and in the European cups!

Benefica got him for a cheap deal. Pato, the star Brazilian in the U-20 World Cup cost like ten times the amount that Adu cost but Pato is going to AC Milan as compared to the team Adu is moving too. The size difference is a factor. As a midfielder, he is undersized at only five foot eight inches.

I hope that he is used well in his natural position as an attacking midfielder, not on the wings like he is at MLS. The MLS people thought he was too small to be playing in the middle where he would get mauled by the larger, much more physical defenders. He says he could also play as a second forward, but I just don't see it.
