Trippling Your Download Speeds

Flash
Here is how to tripple ur speeds.

I went from 190kb/s up to 600kb/s so that should tell you something

If it f**ks up your computer, I take no responsibility.

Save this file as tweak.reg

REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters]
"TcpWindowSize"=dword:faf0
"Tcp1323Opts"=dword:0

If you want to undo it, incase it messed u up, save this file as undo.inf

[Version]
signature=$CHICAGO$

[DefaultInstall]
DelReg=Delete_Reg_Entries

[Delete_Reg_Entries]
HKLM,System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters,TcpWindowSize
HKLM,System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters,Tcp1323Opts

Right click on undo.info and click install (to undo tweak)

Reboot ur comp for it to take effect

Note: tested by me

Mod: Frihost takes no responsibility either!

Anyone tried this yet..? I'm not gonna do it unless someone tried it and it worked.. lol
SystemWisdom
I have tried it, and it works for me, but not nearly as well.. I am on cable and unfortunately alot of people around me are too, so my speeds don't reach quite as high..

Though, this is a fairly safe edit to make to your registry, the undo file posted by Flash pretty much nullifies any safety concerns.. I wouldn't be worried about testing this method to see how it works out for you..

i think someone should try this first.and let me know
RavenCross
what if you're on dial-up connection? is the speed increase significant.. im not afraid of messing up my registry coz im gonna reformat anyway.. Very Happy

The post above you perhaps?
Ariane
Seems kinda risky. I wouldn't do it...unless someone can assure me that it's safe like anything.
orno
can confirm that theres nothing wrong with this...
although just to be sure, you could always make a registry backup + system restore point
carlokes
Humm...right now I have a ADSL connection. Would it work for me?
matt87
I would try this but it isnt worth it for me because I am already satisfied with my speed and I agree about it being risky. If someone gets this to work and makes ur speed go real fast then let me know, then maybe I will try it.
warriordude
why don't use a downlaod accelerator that's more safe then this Rolling Eyes
MistaKiula
Unfortunately, those things contain spyware like there's no tomorrow.. lol that's why some peopl dont use it.

Hmm, I get my highspeed back in a week or so, Ill give it a shot after I see what the current DL rate is.

This WILL NOT allow you to exceed the bandwidth cap imposed by your respective ISP.

Sure you can hack out the limits

IF you have a DOCSIS 1.0 modem

But that's not likely AND it's a federal crime.
ani-nightmare
hmm thanks for the tip
abc
I have not tried this tip but many of my friends who have tried it say it never works .
Anderman
