I can't wait to be honest. I think Saw 1 had the best atmosphere of any movie i've seen on the big screen. No other movie i've been to has had the entire audience silent for what seemed forever at the finale of the original Saw.[/img]

OMG this is the best news of the day!! I love those Saw movie sooo much, they have to be the best horrors we've been getting so far!
Blu_Spykz
Despite Tobin Bell's character being dead (jigsaw) he has quoted that his character is contracted to come back upto the SIXTH saw movie. This is both good news...and not so good news. There is only so much they can do with the whole "whoa, i'm dead but I did leave this videotape for you..." scenario.
Blu_Spykz
Oh yeah, forgot to say that I do LOVE the Saw movies...they are original, intriguing, gripping, and the best horror films released in recent memory!
lethaltriad
Sounds interesting, i'd love to see what they do with the next couple saw movies since jigsaw is dead now. Agree with FB also that the atmosphere that Saw gives you and how it makes you feel is really cool but then again im a person that loves some gore and blood Very Happy
melissareich
This is so exciting! I can't believe it...... well omg yeah I can and I CAN'T wait until it comes out Razz
I love Saw.. all the Saws! 1, 2, and 3. I even own the whole set Very Happy

maybe they are planing some sort of a prequel, to let us see how he started being killer?

SAW never seizes to amaze me. ENDINGS are always terrific, and they always make the movie so good.

I agree with the possibilities of prequels, and I also think that just because he has to show up, doesnt mean he's going to be the main event. I wouldnt consider him to be that in Saw 3, and in 4 he's probably just going to be dead, and occasionally show up in those flashbacks with that woman... I'm right in thinking that hasn't been explained yet right?
dcfive65ive
I've heard that Saw 4 will be a Prequel of the Jigsaws life, maybe a rumor or fact. Since both are dead who's taking over jigsaw's mindgames?

Tobin Bell, who plays Jigsaw in Lionsgate's Saw franchise, wasn't joking when he said he was signed on for five sequels... we received multiple confirmations yesterday that various writers have been tapped to write different scripts for Saw 4, which would hit theaters next October if Saw 3 performs well the weekend of October 27th. How many writers are on board? We think right now four, but haven't been able to confirm an actual number- but we do have a few names that we unfortunately cannot share at this time. Watch this spot for more news as it comes in. Click here for everything Saw III.

Contracted to for 5 sequels, then I guess we'll be expecting up to Saw 6 then, but the question is how long can they keep this idea fresh. I mean the first one is good btw and probably never needed any sequel as both the 2 sequels are pretty much the same premise (people on a setup to escape for their own lives)

ooh, i didn't know they where releasing a new movie in the series of movie, Saw Surprised . I liked the first and second-one. I've not seen saw 3 but I want to. I hope this movie will turn up as great as the other ones Laughing !
DorFalla
I'm excited about this as well! Only, I am a bit concerned with the standard of quality for the upcoming additions. I really liked Saw III, but I think that it was definitely the weakest of the movies so far.
Again, I did *love* it... but it felt a little forced to me is all. Hopefully the next Saws in the line will be amazing!

And... because I can't help it... you know what the tagline on that poster made me think of.

What the F__K? They going to torture us again?? We are all have some sadist part in our mind, maybe thats why we want to s\watch SAW series. If the 4th part is coming I also cannot refuse to watch it. Before watching this, I must make my mind like a Rock -no emotion no feeling, just think i am a rock with a mind of Rock. Thats it!! No other way to watch SAW movies!!

Have in mind that Saw III actually didn't end as a story.
It's like Matrix 2, still waiting to be fulfilled, and 4 story to end,
cause Jigsaw's victim has a quest to do. Exclamation

I saw a trailer the other night. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !

What date's it released on anyone?

Yeah Saw is the most original idea for a movie in a long time and it keeps getting better. Yeah this is great news....can't wait to see the trailer.

I basically hate horror movies, but I'm going to see this because Scott Patterson is in it. I'll watch it during daytime though...
Daisie
Cant wait either! I hope it's going to be as good as the others and not loose it's wicked ideas. But i ll wait until it's on dvd so i can hide behind the pillow while watching it...
it's very violent, it play with your mind big time but it's so compleling to watch... i wonder why...
Bilkers
I'm not sure what this will be like. I thoroughly enjoyed the first two, the storyline was great, but the third Saw although a well made film seemed too "samy" to me. I can't see how long this can be stretched out without it becoming a real bore. The only thing holding it together will be the how grotesque can someone be tortured & killed. Rolling Eyes

Can't waii for Saw4 i saw the trailers on Star Movies..it looks sooo god damn cool lol.

Yeah, for like, the first shot of the movie, it just seemed like "What the hell? that's really unnecessary." I mean, they put a towel over it immediately after, couldnt it just start with that?

The ending... cool... more saws? yeah, ill go see em.

Yeah thats it.

I just watched Saw 4 and thought it was good. I really think Entertainment Weekly is doing a terrible job with the horror movies they are review. EW gave Saw 4 a "D" and 30 Days of Night a "D" and the Reaping a "D". Saw 4 is a lot better than Saw 3 and took the film series in a new direction. It's not as good as the first SAW which I think is probably the best movie of 2005. Saw 4 did have a lot of stuff going for it and hopefully they will move to Saw 5. I also liked 30 Days of Night. The film was fresh and inventive, the vampires were more of the "monster" type like Nosferatu from 1921 and I will buy it when it comes out on DVD. The Reaping was a little shaky, but had some very creepy moments in it and it had Hilary Swank looking really good in tight pants. Too many people diss horror movies without understanding them. EW needs to get a new mindset or some new film critics. By the way, one of the film critics, Lisa S. refused to even see the first SAW film because she said it was torture porn. I can't imagine a film critic with such a narrow perspective on a film, especially since I agree with what the one poster said, when Tobin Bell stood up at the end of SAW the entire audience went quiet. Thanks.

i went and saw saw 4 on halloween - i actually didn't care for saw 2 or 3 that much (except maybe REVERSE BEAR TRAP), but enjoyed this one a bit until the very end. it all kind of fell apart for me there, but i kind of enjoyed a lot of it.

Here's my take on it, in a blog post written for the PSTP Gaming Network.

Like many fans, I was crest-fallen by the ending of last year's "Saw III." I assumed that with basically every main character dead, there would be no way of continuing the series.

I was wrong.

"Saw IV", from director Darren Lynn Bousman ("Saw II" and "III"), and writers Patrick Melton, Marcus Dunstan and Thomas Fenton (taking over for series veteran Leigh Whannell) delivers a story that is thrilling, poignant and disturbing, taking the series in a slightly different direction in terms of tone and style, while at the same time retaining the mood that made the first three films unique.

It is honestly very hard to summarize the story without revealing the many twists and turns, but here I go: Jigsaw and Amanda are dead. However, during the autopsy of Jigsaw's body, an audio tape is discovered in his stomach. Detective Hoffman (who you may remember from a brief cameo in "Saw III") hears the tape, that warns Jigsaw's games will continue...

At the same time, SWAT leader Rigg (of "Saw II" and "III") has become a shell of a man. Everyone he works with and treasures as friends have been killed. He is becoming reckless... burnt out and hollow.

However, something sinister is about to happen... and Rigg will have to play a part in a fiendish new game orchestrated by Jigsaw, who despite being dead, is still the master puppeteer of morals and torture
