Western Digital Sata - system thinks it's connected via SCSI

Helios
Well, I had some trouble with my HD, and after recovering it the system thinks it's connected via SCSI.
It's a regular WD2500AAKS Sata II disk...
Anyway, because of this I can't monitor its temperature and I get the "safely remove hardware" icon, which tells me that I can remove the "not connected" SCSI disk :S

Very weird...

Odd. I would just reinstall.

Did you install Alcohol or a similar program for mounting ISOs? If so, it probably messed up your configs and made it think all opticals are SCSI.... Otherwise, I have no idea where that would come from.
