ownership and permission problems

mehulved
My blog uses Serendipity as Weblog engine. I have been using spartacus to download and install plugins and themes.
The problem with it is that the downloaded files are saved to apache:apache with 644 permission. Thus, I am thus unable to edit files. Neither am I able to change the permissions.
How to I contact frihost staff to correct this?
And is there any way to avoid this situation while still using spartacus.

You could just go into DirectAdmin and click "Reset Ownership" in the "Action" column of the particular files or folder.

Thsnks that worked. And one more question. Was this the right section to ask the question? I was actually quite confused about it.

yes it was the right place to confirm this... as the doubt is server related, (but script caused)
