Strange email received from mailer-daemon

qscomputing
I just received the following email:
Quote:

Date: 27 Jul 2007 06:44:49 -0500
From: Mail System Internal Data <MAILER-DAEMON@host.frih.net>
Subject: DON'T DELETE THIS MESSAGE -- FOLDER INTERNAL DATA
Message-ID: <1185536689@host.frih.net>
X-IMAP: 1185536372 0000000001
Status: RO

This text is part of the internal format of your mail folder, and is not
a real message. It is created automatically by the mail system software.
If deleted, important folder data will be lost, and it will be re-created
with the data reset to initial values.

This seems to be from the mailer-daemon on Server 2 (which is the server I am on). Is it correct that I should have received this? It seems a bit suspect as I have never seen this before on FriHost (I've been using FriHost for a few months now) or on any other system.

Thanks,
QS.

That is a very strange email indeed.
It doesn't appear to be the type of email that Blaster mentioned. Those ones clearly specify Delivery Failure or something of the sort. This one is telling you about some internal structure of some folder on your hosting account.
I've never seen or received an e-mail like this. You'd better wait till Bondings replies. Hopefully, he'll have a better idea about it.

My personal opinion is that it's probably some kind of a hoax, and it's probably save to delete.
