Hi all! Of course I'm new here but I"ve already got my 5 posts and applied for a webhosting account, but wanted to take the time to say hi and introduce myself.
My name is Lancer, and I've been around a long time when it comes to the internet and internet gaming. My current addiction is World of Warcraft and to that end, I wanted to look for a host that would allow me to do the things I wanted to do that was free.
I run a few guild and clan websites elsewhere on the net. But this one will be a bit different. In addition to creating an alternate guild site for my WoW guild, I was thinking of creating a site for all members of the server that I play on. Seems crazy I know, but I'll give it a shot and see if I can't build the community of players and guilds that visit my site so that we can communicate and get to know each other so we can find others to play with in the game.
Even with General and looking for group channels in game, it can be a daunting task to find enough people of the right classes to run an instance sometimes, or find someone to quest with you. And to know that they won't ninja a chest or drop on you. I think that if we can get to know each other before hand, then it'll go a long way towards reducing that happening. Also, if a player values his online personna, he will not want to tarnish his reputation.
Anyway, I'm rambling as I tend to do. I'm off to play and I'll definetely be seeing you more now since I tend to enjoy online communities and forums and will more than likely participate in these as well.
