Upload File button at the top

lukejones
Hello,
Could you please put an upload button at the top of the DirectAdmin control panel? If there are many files, it can be time consuming to scroll down every time you want to upload a file.
I would apreciate this very much.

Thanks,

Luke

  • Go to directadmin
  • Go to file manager
  • Look at the bottom for Upload files to current directory and click it
  • Browse the files you want to upload
  • Hit the upload button and have your files uploaded

Why have you given me those directions?

Hwah?
He said at the top, not at the bottom.

Anyways, I s'pose this is a good idea - but Bondings probably will not implement it (he's too busy already Sad )

If there are many files, a much easier way to do it is FTP
Unfortunately, I'm feeling too lazy right now to give instructions on how to access your web space with FTP, but I'm sure if you ask for help in doing it, somebody will give directions.
Once you get used to uploading files that way, you'll wonder how you ever managed doing each file manually. (Even the most basic FTP program can handle uploading entire folders, or selections of several files at once.)

I like smartFTP. Especially with it's Backup feature that lets you recover all your files and folders from an FTP site. Made it much easier to switch from a dreadful host to friH Wink

Unfortunately, Bondings doesn't have much control over the layout of DirectAdmin as far as I'm aware. It's a commercial software package, and these normally have to be used "as-is" without modification.
