Anyone been to one? They sound fascinating. I've recently been reading the Lonely Planet guide (which is quite a bit different to a normal LP guide) and some of them sound quite interesting..
On a recent trip to Western Australia we drove through the Hutt River Province (albeit only on the highway), a fairly remote station, which the owners wanted to seperate from Australia as a result of wheat quotas. He was of course ignored by the government for the most part, but like a lot of micronations like it there have been stamps, currency, even passports issued.
In fact, just looking at Wikipedia it appears they were a particularly common phenomenom throughout Australia - there are quite a few..

I suppose what my question is, has anyone ever been to one or wishes to visit?
