note tho, it can take several weeks before a favicon is shown as it should.. so don't get disapointed if it doesn't show propperly when you are done, give it lots of time.

true, it took mine a long time to propagate across all browsers. Even now, I think it may not be on all browsers.

Yes, now that you guys mention it: after a fresh install it also takes some time before the favicons are back. Weird. Anybody any idea why it takes so long before favicons are properly shown?
