Java Servlets vs PHP
Hi there fellow programmers, I am just interested to view your opions from those of you who have had the oppertunity to work both with Java Servlets and PHP for server side development, I would just like to know which technology you prefer and why.
also when giving feedback and you have only worked with one of the above mentioned technology then please say so in your reply.
cheers

I prefer PHP more that java servlets..
but I would say its quite unfair to compare both.
PHP - equivalent or ditto of Java technology was JSP..
What ever be the reason, PHP rocks because of Opensource..

It's a personal preference really. PHP is easier to learn, but of course if you already know Java, that would be easier.
Also, PHP has some really strange quirks that Java hasn't.
And Java is nice because it forces you to work object-oriented, although some people see that as a downside.
