"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" whisked its way to No. 1 at movie box offices with weekend ticket sales of $77.4 million and a five-day total of just over $140 million, according to studio estimates on Sunday.
The fifth in the series of films based on J.K. Rowling's novel about the British boy wizard, sold more tickets in its first five days than previous "Potter" movies, said Dan Fellman, chief of domestic film distribution at Warner Bros., a unit of Time Warner Inc.

What do you think of it? Harry Potter. Harry Potter. Nothing against Harry Potter or J.K. Rowling but I am about tired of hearing about the recent movie release and now the release of the last book in the series. I hear people at work talking about it and you cannot watch the news without hearing about it.
I am sorry but I dislike harry potter and the harry potter movies. The kid who plays harry potter is like 16 or 17 years old that's a little old for some little wizard kid don't you think. I don't so the big deal with harry potter and J.K. Rowling is now richer than ever. The whole harry potter thing started because J.K. Rowling couldn't pay her bills and need to make money... Now she has so much money she doesn't even know what to do with it. My point is harry potter is a little overrated and is not that special. Each movie and book gets worse and worse that's why I stopped caring after the third book. I agree with what crdowner said that harry potter is everywhere and you can't stop hearing about and it is getting really annoying, maybe it will all die down now that the dumb last book is out.

Ugh. I hear you here...I am not a fan myself, but I have nothing against it...I am just so irritated about hearing so much about it, every.freaking.place.I.go.

I would never bash the book series, or the people who are interested in the series (to each their own). However, I guess I never really got into the whole Harry Potter thing. I just don't get it quite frankly. I tried to pick up the book and read it...but it just doesn't interest me. Anyone else feel this way?
I think this harry porter movies are just over rated. From what i hear, quite a few people say it's boring. I'd think Transformers would be a better one to watch. Or the appearance of 'harry porker' in simpsons the movie. Now that was funny.
I agree with some of the posters who said that this movie is overrated. I really don't know what is the logic behind this all hype about this movie. I have attended this movie after my daughter insisted on me to accompany her. It was very lengthy and the happyiest moment for me was when leaving the theater room.
yeah, i feel that the reason for overating is hearing everyone saying harry potter, harry potter. So they are subconsiously forced to raise the value of the book and the movie. Triggering a chain effect...
Funny thing about Harry Potter... On the horde of Harry Potter fans out there, there are people who basically WORSHIP the wizard kid. The series is too overrated! The story is not THAT amazing, the main character isn't appealing (actually, I hated his guts, especially when he started getting emo) and the movies are just BAD.
Sure, I've read the books, so I can base my opinion on something. The last one I even read before it came out (thank you, internet) and I'm glad it's over now. The only thing good about the series is the plot twist on the last book, which I'd spoil right here right now, but I suppose the whole world has already been spoiled after Anonymous' campaign on the night the book was released.
I heard today that fake HP books are on sale in China!

Movies are okay, but nothing great. Never read HP books.i don't really think harry potter should be part of world news,
maybe if you're in the world of hogwarts, then its acceptable.
