Full-time job - part-time job?

aetcomputers
I am sure that someone on here will be able to offer a little advice. I am looking at starting a second part-time flexible job. I will basically be sefl-employed and not working many hours. It will be as a computer repairer/installer. What do I have to do in terms of Inland Revenue, VAT etc. in the UK?

Any help greatfully received...

Start by taking a look at the information here: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/

When you're familiar with most of the answers talk to your local tax office and they'll put you straight on what you need to do.

If you're doing PC repair work part-time I wouldn't think you'd exceed the VAT threshold but it might be advantageous to register voluntarily.

Good luck!

Its great about you that you are thinking of a part time job.I will suggest you to do job related to your current filed ie computer its better to do job as a lectuter because you will learn more and have more friendship. Its safe to register for VAT if you are doing any other business side job
