how do i use remote database.... will specifying the $host parameter suffice in most of the scripts... (eg. i want the database on another host... and want to access the data from frihost... can i do so)
Remote Database access
Yes. You may need to configure your database to accept connections from sources other than localhost though. Ask your other host about that.
You need to add the host in control panel. There is an option available. Please check.
