i need to resize my linuxpartition. i want to put a windows install on the same computer for various compatibility reasons(no wine doesnt quite cut it in this instance). However i cannot locate the tool to resize partitions, a)what is it called/where is itor b) whats the name of the package so i can get it. btw im running ubuntu under KDE. cheers in advance

You can use "gparted". Gparted is standard installed with Ubuntu, so you can just type "gparted" in a terminal window.
If it is not installed use "apt-get install gparted".

damn the other guy said what i would have said. but another way is back up all your importan files and then install ubuntu on a virtual machine. ( i assume you know what a virtual machine is as your useing the KDE version of ubuntu)
