ask.com is also quite a big player - and so is Microsoft's new search engine- live.com...
google is best not only because she is a search engine.

till date google is the Best
other are just fine
I also think google is the best one. But yahoo image search is some times a bit better than googles.
www.altavista.com 's search results are the same with yahoo.
And live.com is the same with MSN.com.
Google is the best one,and Google PR is more important than others.

I agree with you,Yahoo image search is the best image search on the internet.
Google image search results usually can't display rightly .I don't know why,maybe some other reason like net connection.

Maybe a little off topic but what we really need is for Yahoo or MSN to step up to the plate and provide some serious competition to Google. Otherwise we will all forever remain at the mercy of the Googlopoly. It makes for a very bumpy and nerve-wracking SEO ride when one search engine gobbles up over half of the search pie while a dozen other also-rans split up the rest.
Sure, submit to a bunch of other search engines just for posterity but the bottom line is, you've got to make it happen with the big G. Otherwise you're going to have a tough go of it.
