In the general forum I made a topic about Frihost Radio. I am planning on starting this.

I am now searching for bands who want their music to be played on frihost radio. Bands with a site please give me a link and I'll download them myself. Others can PM me and I'll give my mail.
Frihost Radio streaming atm!

Sounds like a good idea then. I wish you good luck. I had three stations in total (that's why my account is pspradio). But it was a total waste. I haven't got cash on server, so the radios were going down quickly.
Looks like a great idea, would definitely like to see that in action
This is a brilliant idea. I wish I made music, just to be a part of this project. Can't wait to hear some original music for once.
Just some thought, please don't bother with Ministry of Shite thats not really club and dance music....
I would recommend the new Global Undergorund compilations by Deep Dish (Dubfire in Taipei and Sharam in Dubai) and Nick Warren (both the Paris and Shanghai compilations). Take a look also at the Balance series (James Holden, Zabiela); Also don't foget the Fabric series by the godfather of tech-house Eddie Richards & Terry Francis and a lot of others
Also the Sahsa & John Digweed early comps (Exposures) are really good, Chris Fortier and Danny Tenagelia are one of the mos best US Djs to-date. (I had the fortune to listen to them live, what a party, they went totally nuts
Congrats on the iniative and the sound is crystal clear
As would Stan's father say NICEEEE (southpark)
Thanks for the feedback. I will see if I can add those albums. I havn't got much spare time today and tomorrow so it'll probably be added in the weekend.
It'd be neat. The best thing you could do is - host a server and get shoutcast / icecast and start playing..
And dont even consider hosting a Radio without a bandwidth of atleast 10 Mbit coz trust me - members will hate buffering. 10 mbit should stand in for a concurrency of 50 listeners.
i think i'll wait with that till i have more than just 1 listener at a time
Top listeners now is 2 i think....

Copyright? Just a word
An internet radio station requires a lot on the hardware side...Who will afford it?
I already had a server streaming 24/7. It worked fine for 3 listeners and it should work with up to 10 users. If the station becomes more wanted we might mace it legal, sel advertising space (for real money) and get a better server. But for now this will do.
That's a really cool idea if it actually comes together.
my hdd died and i returned it to hp. No radio for the next few weeks. I hope to have it up and running again before the end of this month.

It will be a long way before you can sell some advertising space for "real money", which will be used to buy a decent server for 100 people.(I think 100 people is the deadline for an internet radio station)
i think we won't get the 100 people for the next 2 years. Maybe 20 but that's about it.
So this radio will be an Internet radio, so everybody around the world could listen to it?
Have I understood it right?
In that case, I really support this radio project.
Good luck ;D
Looks like a really neat project, hope you dont run into copyright issues or anything with it. Have fun while it lasts, a radio station run by one of my friends for just our little gaming community recently got shut down due to copyright issues.
great idea!!
2 thumb up...
nice plane ..keep wok on it pal
