Mm too lazy to research to make sure those are facts Very Happy anyway kinda interesting if it is -,-
JimmyHoffa1029
Good coincidence! I never knew , Hitler and Napoleon had so much in common.
Afaceinthematrix
I always find these types of things interesting. I've seen things like this with many people in history, though. I suppose that since there have been billions and billions of people throughout history, coincidences are bound to come up sometimes.
turbowolf
I also heard of this coincidence several years ago. Certainly they are true, though they are hard to believe. Maybe Hitler and Nypolon is own to one spirit? ^_^ Just a joke. But I really believe that there are too much miracle in this world!

Hmmm, there's some mistakes.

Napoleon was born in 1769, he came to Power in 1799 and he lost the war in 1815. there's no need to compare Napolean with Hitler
neroyert
Even if they were true, it wouldn't be overly shocking they followed relatively similar paths to power, both served in the army, both declared wars they couldn't win, both invaded Russia at the wrong time, both were poor theatre level tacticians, both used a military to come to power, both isolated their country prior to their major wars, both preached against minorities. Still interesting numbers, also is there a significance to 129 outside of this theory?

actually i don't know if there is an interesting thing about "129"

i read this information in a book about destiny.

there is a similar coincidence between Lincoln and JFK.
MARCIV
It's just a matter of probability ...
The probability to be born the same day and month in a group of 23 people is about 0.5 ... cqfd
amicalindia
How did you calculate that?

haha i think someone has WAY to much free time...

anyway besides the facts is there anything that is related to the 129?

start looking for a roman emperor Surprised
who knows, maybe you'll find a treasure...

lol this could be a dan brown novel Razz

(nothing against dan brown though, his books are ok)

Austria was annexed in the operation "Unternehmen Otto" on March 12th, 1938 and Hitler declared the annexation on the Heldenplatz in Vienna on March 15th, 1938 (NOT 1941). Perhaps Hitler did visit Vienna in 1941, he was Austrian by birth after all (though not from Vienna) but I'm not really interested in researching this all that closely.

I've seen some of these comparisons (such as Lincoln - Kennedy) but, although marginally interesting, they are trivia at best and in any case meaningless.
MaxStirner
PS: Napoleon defeated General Karl von Leiberich at the Battle of Elchingen (September 25th to October 20th, 1805) and then marched into Vienna unopposed on Nov. 13th of the same year; not 1812, which marked the year of his Russian campaign.

I think if you want to connect the dots between anything, all you have to do is dig enough to turn obscure chance happenings into more than they are.
emem
Lol interesting if it is true. But I'm sure there are lots of people who have YEARS in common Smile I mean, it still is 365 days right?
websurfer80
If the dates mentioned in the beginning of this threat are not accurate then this whole discussion is based on nothing. And to many people see coinsidense as something supernatural.
If you ask me.... there is no proof for this kind of things.....

Hitler entered Vienna (Austria) 1938 wthin the "Anschluss".
1941 was the Date of Stalingrad ect
deanhills
Not sure about the dates, and those probably need verification, however for me there are other similarities between the two. Both were outsiders, both were relative loners, both were charismatic, both were good strategists, and both underestimated Russia. Both had a certain amount of megolomania. Both were short people and physically not that handsome. Both had axes to grind. This would be a very good subject for a research project, possibly this has already been attempted.

Just googled it quickly and found a Website in tripod that did a comparison of Hitler and Napoleon: The House of Ice - Comparison and Contrast of Hitler and Napoleon:

http://houseofice.tripod.com/history/napoleonandhitler.shtml
vontero
apoleon developed relatively few military innovations, drawing his tactics from a variety of sources and scoring major victories with a modernized French army. His campaigns are studied at military academies all over the world and he is widely regarded as one of history's greatest commanders. Whilst considered a tyrant by his opponents, he is also remembered for establishing the Napoleonic code, which laid the bureaucratic foundations for the modern French state.

I don't see both of those two leaders any different than current leaders. some just don't know what is happening now, just believe what is in the news.

Hitler was an artist and Napoleon was a professional politician,Hitler even didnt rich Moscow,Napoleon was more successful.Russian people hated Napoleon and wanted to fight for their land and freedom, soviet people were glad to see Hitler"s army at first because Soviet power was worst than hitler"s.Anyway it was impossible to occupy such a territory and control it afterwards. Both are idiots. Why did they think that Moscow was a final point of Russia? It is not even a halfway ,the North of Russia and the East are huge, noone can ever occupy it.

This is freaking scary.
Maybe 129 is the sign of the evil.
I always thought that was 666, though, but we might have been mistaken

Me too. What is also fascinating is when people come up with discoveries laterally, i.e. from different parts of the world, not knowing about the other person's discoveries, all of it simultaneously. Great minds totally unrelated to one another arriving at the same discoveries almost at the same time.

So my gf found this port and thought it fascinating, and told me about it. I thought it was unusual, and I checked it out.. I like finding out the truth of things so :

Napoleon-Hitler

Napoleon was born in 15 August 1769 not 1760
Hitler was born in 20 April 1889
( difference-120 years not 129)

Napoleon came to power in 1804 (18 May 1804)
Hitler came to power in 1933 (30 January 1933)
(difference-129 years)

Napoleon entered Vienna in 1812 ( I think you mean Russia actually )
Hitler entered Vienna in 12 March 1938, first visit after Austria was annexed, 1941 isn't significant.
(difference-126 years)

Napoleon did invade Russia in 1812
Hitler did though, invade Russia 1941
(difference -129 years)

Napoleon lost the war in 1815 ( Battle of Waterloo )
Hitler lost the war in 1945
(difference- 128 years)

When they came to power : Hitler was 44, Napoleon was 35.
When they attacked Russia : Hitler was 52, Napoleon was 43
When the lost power : Hitler was 56, Napoleon was 46

Essentially, they were loosely born around 120-130 years apart. Smile

nice coincidences. just like jfk and lincoln.
However, I don't think they're that similar.

What are we talking about here? Numerology? Destiny/Pre-Fated Events?
stevenulty
The napoleon/hitler comparisons are inaccurate. Napoleon was born in 1769, he came to power in 1799 and lost the war in 1815 - ie. born 120 years before Hitler, came to power 134 years before Hitler, and lost the war 130 years before Hitler. You really should check your facts before posting.
