Creating An Invisible Folder

CREATING AN INVISIBLE FOLDER... Wink

1)Right Click on the desktop.Make a new folder
2)Now rename the folder with a space(U have to hold ALT key and type 0160).
3)Now u have a folder with out a name.
4)Right click on the folder>properties>customize. Click on change icon.
5)Scroll a bit, u should find some empty spaces, Click on any one of them.click ok

These are all reserve words for Windows and Dos only..
You can create the folder with these names in Linux , Unix but not in windows

CON, PRN, AUX, CLOCK$, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, and LPT9.

Actually u can easily hide your folders by right clicking on the folder and ticking the hidden attribute.

Yes, but that can easily be undone using explorer.

But, if you go into Windows Explorer, navigate to the main folder where the invisible folder is, and sort by some attribute (name, data, etc.), you should find an empty space, which is the invisible folder. That should look suspicious.

well, lucky i found this tutorial.
it's really helpful because i always forget password, now i made and invisible notepad file with it. and hidden it in the top corner.

u can also use "255" when pressing ALT button
