It is becoming more of a two horse race for the drivers championship, between Fernando Alonso and 22 year old superstar Lewis Hamilton.

Both of them belonging to Mclaren which only 6 races in seems to have the constructors championship in thier grasps. However the question is who will win Alonso or Hamilton.

"Sir Jackie Stewart says McLaren did nothing wrong in preventing Lewis Hamilton challenging team-mate Fernando Alonso for victory in Monaco.

Formula One rules say "team orders which interfere with a race result are prohibited" and governing body the FIA has launched an investigation.

But former team owner Stewart said: "I saw nothing wrong with what occurred."

The triple world champion said asking drivers to back off to make sure of the GP win "was the wise thing to do".

Asking a driver not to try and win a race seems a bit daft to me, does that mean Abramovich who owns Chelsea and a Russian Club, if the two teams met in a football game would say "go for a draw lads" I DON'T THINK SO!

According to ITV commentators, Lewis did not obey team orders and tried to challenge.
On the subject of teams hauling team mates back so that the team mate wins, I see nothing wrong with that if it avoids the risk of an error causing both drivers to collide and thus taking each other out.
In Monoco Mclaren were simply trying to secure the points. There is nothing wrong with that in my opinion.
Regards, Panic.

Hamilton's looking good with a 10 point lead, and the first rooky to ever get back to back wins.

I really hope it's Hamilton - Britain needs something to cheer about sporting-wise, we don't seem to have done anything in any sport just recently.

Very true. Unfortunately I am unable to go to Silverstone ( I was really looking forward to it). I hope Lewis wins it at Silverstone, as it would be fantastic.

I am finding it rather amusing that Fernado Alonso is trying to bully Lewis back into his place, but he is having none of it and fair play to him. Why should Lewis allow Fernado to walk all over him as he's the experience driver.

I would not be suprised if Mclaren pulls them both into the office and say something along the lines of ..... ' Race up until the 50th lap if clear, but don't do anything stupid or push too hard in trying to over take one and other.'
