Cant find firewire cable compatible with my computer. HELP!!

HELP!!

Today I found out at school, that my camera can have close-to-hd quality video if I use a firewire.. Problem is, is that one won't hook up to my computer.. Does anyone know of a firewire cable that has a DV plugin that will plug into my toshiba A105 laptop??

I'm assuming that since it's a laptop you're using, it's got a very small Firewire port on it. If so, this is a 4-pin Firewire port that does not supply power to the item. All you need is a simple 6-pin to 4-pin converter like this one.

Well, this is what I have for inputs.

4 usb inputs.. One of those circle ones for a keyboard or mouse, and one of those ones with the 2 screw peices on it
