OK, here I go : I am thinking of starting a new blog, about making money online. There are a lot of these types of blogs out there, so I am thinking of a twist. My blog will be about money making opportunities for people worldwide, not just for people in the U.S.

So, I need your opinions. Give your honest opinion on this idea - is it good, bad, crazy, fantastic, fabulous, idiotic, whatever. Smile

I will pay good frih$, if you give your honest opinion!

Some good domain ideas are also accepted.

I think this is a very good idea, who dosnt want to make money, Also thats kind of why i already read your blog, dont you already seem to focus on ways to make money with online sites? Needless to say the idea is good! once someone finds it, its contents seem like it would hold them over for other looks.
Hobbit
It's a good idea, but your twist isn't really a twist. Most making money online blogs apply to everyone. Most publisher programs allow people from outside the US, so its not a huge twist.

I like the idea though, in fact I would read your blog so make sure you tell me about it when you make it.
Ratmaster
I think it has a chance, but you will have to take into account the currencies and how much each is worth to the other. You may wish to put a converter on the site.

I agree with that, I think you would either have to find a better twist, or maybe easier just write good quality content frequently. You should also take a look at some of the top blogs about making money online, which should help you with ideas.

I don't necessarily think thats true because people can just use something like google to convert the currencies. Plus, most people would probably know the rough estimate of the U.S. dollar: their currency ratio (and USD are usually what programs pay by).

Overall, I think it is a step in the right direction, but you need to develop the idea a little more (and btw, if you do create this blog, I would like to read it because I already like reading your current blog).

yes, this would be a great Idea as many young people have trouble finding ways to make money, ive seen a million topics in other forums like this, and people always appreciate an idea Wink

I have a negative response...

First let me ask you these questions:

1. How do you make online?

2. Do you have any experience with Internet Marketing, Affiliates, Webmastering, Adsense, etc?

3. Are you an expert at money making online?

Once you have answered those, rethink your idea. You have a targeted niche, but without experience and skill no one is going to listen to you. Thousands of other blogs talk about Money Making, but I have found about 10-15 blogs that are actually worthwhile.

For example, John Chow ( www.johnchow.com ) keyword is Making Money Online, and he ranks number one for it.

Out of curiosity what do you intend to do with the blog? Is it for money or for passion? I am pretty sure John Chow does it for money, so he is skilled at that.

Thank you everyone! I had never expected such a good response. Smile Now, let me consider each of the comments :

Thank you for the response, that is one of the primary reasons I am starting this blog - people like money. Especially, when it is money you get without too much of effort. I agree that in my present blog, I posted a bit of that type of posts, then I started thinking thinking of building this.
Thank you, and 15frih$ sent your way!

I agree it is not a huge twist, but the fact is that lots of programs I sign up through seeing on the making money online blogs say - "To participate in this program you must be in the U.S." And I am sick of seeing that.

Thank you for that, that is one possibility I had not taken into account. I will probably add something like that.

First of all, Ratman, thank you for your big response! That was most appreciated. OK, let me try answering your questions :
1. I try to make money online with my blog, adsense, GPT programs, among others.
2. I have to say I don't have any experience with internet marketing, affliate programs, webmastering, but I do know something about Adsense. But hey, it doesn't hurt to learn!
3. I certainly don't say I am an expert, but many others aren't, too. Almost all the people who start with this type of thing have little knowledge, but, don't they learn?

I do appreciate what you say, but do you also know of a blog called www.cashquests.com ? It is run by Kumiko, and she says she started with little experience, but she is very popular now. But you have a very good point there.

About JohnChow - He says that it is his personal blog, and he never wanted to make money online with it, but he rakes in a lot of dough! Mine is a bit of both - passion, and money.

Thank you for raising very valid points. 20frih$ sent your way!

I hope others don't mind this... Embarassed

One thing I am glad to find in all your responses is that it has generated some interest. Hopefully, this will be good for my blog when I launch it!

Thanks,

Since people seem to have lost the interest, I would like to bump this.

Come on, I need your suggestions!

Well if you can master all of that I say give it a get go.

How much do you make online right now? Is it a feasible amount? Can you be able to give away free stuff to drive traffic?

What is your twist? Kumiko has a kinky Laughing layout but his blog is just like any other money making online blog.

What do you think your uniqueness is?
saratdear
Well, to be frank, I don't think I am unique in anyway. Sad Hopefully, after I create a blog, it will be unique.

I do agree, Kumiko has a kinky and pinky design. (And Kumiko is a 'she', not a 'he' Wink )

And I don't think I will be able to give away any free stuff. Do you think I should not go on with this idea now?
Ratman2050
Well I would like to say I am sorry for Ms. Kumiko for calling her a man. Apologies.

And I don't want to discourage you but, if you don't have something that will keep the readers staying, something that someone hasn't thought of before, then whats the use? You would just be wasting your time.

Let me give an example.

I own http://www.fantasy-pc.com . It was my first website and I had no prior experience. Yes it is a great site with a good SEO Background and gets an average amount of traffic and loyal members. But what else has it got to offer? If you take a look it is just a forum with many mods to it including an arcade. I made about 900$ off of revenue from it, but I also spent $250 to create it properly. Now I am a good marketer and seo'er but I think it is time I sell Fantasy PC. It is not really as bright as it use to be.

I agree. There are a lot of those make money online blogs out there, and I hope I don't be another one of those "ordinary" ones out there.

Thanks for all your help, your comments have been most valuable. But the fact remains that this was the most original idea I got till now (sigh Sad I am completely unoriginal), and I don't have the heart to drop it.
Ratman2050
Let me give you an original idea I thought of:
