I'm pretty sure I answered that in another post with someone looking for the same thing:
I used freefind on one of my sites. Downside is that it is riddled with self promotion and ads. Upside is that you don't need a cgi bin.
Used sphider as well. This was my favorite. Easy to use, still supported, minimal self promotion, no ads.
