Does it worth buying lots of backlinks?

I'm curious if buying many text links from good PR will worth my money?

so there are 2 main questions here

1. Does the PR effect any position? (some said not anymore)

2. If the answer in No.1 is yes, then should we spend like $500+ a month buying these back links? (for example see here http://www.backlinks.com/wholesale_links.php)

or I should focus on adwords and other paid advertisment?

Just Buy listing in top major directories.

Try to make as much as possible one way free links.

Well, It simply depends on your strategy and competition. I am sure you are not going to buy links worth $500 if your site is only going to give less than $500 in return.

It depends on your competition as well. If you are targeting very competitive keywords and are sure that a good search engine placement will boost your income, you can invest in buying links. Make sure every aspect of your site is right e.g content, other SEO work, FREE Link Building etc. before you think to buy links.

The best option would be to hire a Link Builder or outsource the Link Building work if you are poor at it.

You need to consider other things as well before you go on to buy links such as no. of links sold on that page (the less the better), site's theme, backlinks to site, its age, its ranking etc etc.

In short, it is worth the money only and only if it is done in right manner. There is no need of buying links most of the times if your competitors are not doing it.

PR is the mirror to the no. of back links pointing to the page and as you know the more the backlinks, the better is the ranking. So, most of the times the higher pagerank page is ranking above the lower pagerank page. That should not be interpreted as pagerank effects the rankings. No body can be sure on this, except google. But, higher pagerank page tends to rank higher than lower pagerank page considering that there are hundreds of other ranking factors too such as Dmoz listing, age etc etc.

With no offense intended, I do not think this is a good idea IMO.

I think Google has added to their TOS that buying or selling links is a NO NO. So be careful about it. Its hasn't become a big fuzz yet. I hope it wont too.

submitting to free directory by your own hand is better than anything.
u can select appropriate category and will get a high quality backlink from directory.

now, i only have one free directory http://balidirectory.selfip.com
submit your site there and u will get one more backlink.
