nameservers to new domain

Peterssidan
Hi! Today I got my new domain today. I havn't understand how I should set up the nameservers. Should I use ns1.frih.net and ns2.frih.net or just one of them.
At the place I registered the domain I see a list like this:
DNS 1:
DNS 1 IP:
DNS 2:
DNS 2 IP:
DNS 3:
...
and it goes to 5
And I can fill in these fields. Should I give only the nameserver name in the DNS field or should I have some IP. I found one IP at the account page. Is it that one? Should I use the same at both nameservers if I should use both. please help. Very Happy

You usually don't need both the DNS name and IP though it depends on where you are (which you failed to mention). Details below if need both name and IP (I suppose it can't hurt to use both right?).

Quote:
DNS 1: ns1.frih.net
DNS 1 IP: 216.32.85.170
DNS 2: ns2.frih.net
DNS 2 IP: 216.32.85.171

Okej.. I think It might be the DNS is slow to change. When I changed http://dataapa.net/ to http://www.dataapa.net/ I got this

Quote:
Welcome to the home of dataapa.net
To change this page, upload your website into the public_html directory

But I want to use the same public_html directory as my old one. At least one step forward. I have to take a look at my settings in the DirectAdmin I supppus..

To achieve that, you should create a domain alias instead of adding the domain.

DirectAdmin -> Domain pointers.
Remember to tick the checkbox called "domain alias".
