thats great....it would be great if vehicles could use saltwater as to petrol or diesel....years from now in future saltwater would be plenty coz of effect of water rising...my two cents
I've done a project about the production of hydrogen that could be used as fuel.
The amount of energy required to produce the hydrogen is not that enormous (though still considerable), but the losses are quite a problem: between the production and the car, you would loose around 75% of the energy (pressurizing, cooling, transportation, etc.). Then you have the costs for the cars: the fuel cells require platinum to work properly (as far as we know: most of the researches try to find a cheap alternative) and may cost at least around 100 K$. For a bus, it can still be used (all mass transits use hydrogen in Island), but for a family car...
