Frontpage of Drupal

I've started using Drupal for part of my site.

I've posted content, 4 'stories' and 1 'welcome'.

I've tried promoting one to the frontpage at a time, and then all, yet when your not logged in it still shows the set-up page, that says will disappear after some content is posted.

Any idea's what I'm doing wrong?

Did you gave anonymous users access content permission?

maybe it's the cache system...
sometimes it screws up.
try clean all cache and try again.
