Submit your site link today! » BetterWindowsSoftware - Links Directory.

1) Please select an appropriate category for your link.
2) Be descriptive for your link's description. Try to be representative of your site's content. No HTML allowed in descriptions.
3) if you publish a backlink - please check that your HTML is still valid both types of quotation marks are used in the backlink code
4) wait for some traffic and an increased PageRank

The directory script is written entirely by me -- and it has some nice features that other directories don't offer. The Google PageRank value is displayed for all links. Visits to each link are counted, but some cheating could occur - giving unrealistic visit statistics; we are working on either a cookie or a database solution based on one visit click / IP.

Activate link submissions by E-Mail or publishing a backlink
It is completely free - and links can be activated by either an e-mail or publishing a backlink. Link activation by backlinking does not have to occur immediately since we will poll for the next three days; if the backlink doesn't exist at that point in time your link would be discarded.

Since you can select from existing links in the directory which backlink you want to publish, your link may be selected by somebody in the future -- creating more links to your site!

Also, we have none of the bandwidth issues that some of the other directories have.

Where should I add a blog that deals with pretty much anything Wink?

Could you create a "blogs" category maybe?
bgillingham
Good idea ... many sites are simply blogs -- and this makes sense as a good category. "Blogs" category created!

Cool - I added my site.

I think your page rank script might be bugged...it says I have 0, but I am 100% certain my PR is 4 Smile (check it for yourself if you don't believe me!)
bgillingham
No problem about the PR ... my system will send me an email to update the PR value - due to a problem with the script on my server versus on my local machine -- the same script won't give me the PR results, so I have to run it locally. I just got the email update to update your PR as I was writing this -- "lukedk.frih.net", eh. Check your PR value out now -- now it should be 4.

I still have to write something extra on my polling procedure that will update the links' PR values at a monthly interval or more frequently.

I just added my site there.
So, it needs your approval before published to the public?
My blog url is http://www.skylancerz.frih.net/

Thank you
bgillingham
hey cosmicx --- the link would have been activated if it detected the link code in your page, but I just looked at your html for your links page: http://www.skylancerz.frih.net/links/ and it looks like one of the quotation marks is wrong at least ---

Here's the code that you should have on your page:
Code:
<a href="http://betterwindowssoftware.com/index.php" title="BetterWindowsSoftware.com ... a better way to find and buy software!" onclick="window.location.href='http://betterwindowssoftware.com/cgi-bin/redirect.php?redirectURL=http%3A%2F%2Fbetterwindowssoftware.com%2Findex.php';return false;">BetterWindowsSoftware.com ... a better way to find and buy software!</a>
For some reason, your existing code is
Code:
<a href="http://betterwindowssoftware.com/index.php" title="BetterWindowsSoftware onclick=" window.location.href="http://betterwindowssoftware.com/cgi-bin/redirect.php?redirectURL=http%3A%2F%2Fbetterwindowssoftware.com%2Findex.php">BetterWindowsSoftware</a>

The problem is due to the nested quotation marks (both ' and " are used - and can cause HTML errors if anything is switched). The code to activate doesn't care about the quotation marks; it strips out all quotation marks before it makes the comparison to check for existing link code.

Since I saw the link code -- in a broken state, I manually activated your link. This tells me that I need to provide a little better feedback in my script -- sorry that I left you guessing a bit there.
cosmicx
sorry about that, I changed the link because I try to modify the display only.
but anyway, thanks for your help... Very Happy
