Consciousness...religion is starting to make more sense

Like, just now, I was thinking about consciousness, and how I had the fever when I was six. While I had the fever, everything was so weird, like weird drugs. How is our conscious so "standard." Evolution, well, people with fever, their body is so sick it would die of, plus their total delusions take them out of the real world, so, they might walk off a cliff unknowingly. Still, I think my delusional fever type altered consciousness would be compatible for a different place, say, an alien world. Our consciousness is so delicate.

In religion, even if it is made up, good and evil are standard concepts that we take for granted. In my fever, there was hardly any thought, let alone good or evil. There was fluctuating nausea, altered consciousness, altered reality, altered perception, etc. There was fear. However there was no actual reason and concepts of good and evil. Do animals think like this?

Do any of you even understand what I'm talking about?

It is everything you say.

Perhaps we could get some comments from someone less hazy?

Um...yeah you cant really know what having a fever when you are six is like unless you were six with a fever.

First of all I am surprised you remember so much about a fever you had at 6 years of age.

Secondly, I don't think 6 year olds really worry too much about good or bad anyway.. not in a philosophical sense.... They probably think that anyone who gives them sweets is good and who doesn't is bad... I'm not saying this view is absolute... Perhaps you did have such an understanding deeper than most...

I do agree; such an altered state of mind can possibly be the norm in some alien planet or society. And perhaps eating lots of chocolate might in fact be healthy there. And in that case I'd be on the first flight there if ever they start a commercial flight between our worlds.

Most Animals do not even have a sense of self. So I do not think they really have a sense of Good and Bad... They just worry about survival... And for all the intelligence that humans are supposed to have... this fact seems to make those animals smarter than us humans... as the number of wars and conflicts going on in the world proves.

How do you remember all of this from when you were 6 years old?

Not to get off topic, but would you happen to know your last memory?

Most of my peers at some point in there lives have induced some form of delusion upon themselves usually for no more than entertainment - Purple Haze could be seen as a nutshell answer that I can certainly relate to
