Untimely death... is it true??

Master Yoda
Now, I'm sure ya'll must have heard of people speaking of persons who were murdered or died in a plane or train crash or something.. and most of them like to say "He/She died an untimely death."

Now, I don't really know how many of those people really mean what they say.. or maybe they just say it unknowingly....

Whatever may be the reason.. but do you really believe that someone dies an untimely death..

Coz as far as I go, I don't believe in this.. Whether a person was murdered, or killed by mistake, or met with an accident.. whatever it is.. I believe that if that person died, then that person died because it was time.. time to die... but this sort of indirectly hints at "destiny," something I've been discussing in another thread... and as usual don't believe in it..

But still.. what are your views on this..?

I think subconsciousness determines the chances of when and how a person will die

untimely dead is a phrase which mean the dead occurred not because of natural causes (like dying of old age) or the circumstances are unexpected. it's not to be taken literally.

there are some occurrences where some people will say it's untimely dead, while other don't see it as untimely dead, like a person who died of heart attack. for people that already knew the dead person has a heart problem, it's not untimely dead. they already knew that person will die anytime when his heart failed, but for others who have no idea the dead person has a heart condition will say it's untimely dead.

if you knew somebody who always drunk driving or always drive recklessly and you keep telling yourself one day this person will die in automobile accident and one day the car he's driving involved in an accident, caught fire and he was trapped inside and was burnt alive, which is very horrible, you will never think of it as untimely, because you already expect it to happen.

of course, there are genuine cases of untimely dead, that is when you have no control or you can't choose the circumstances like when somebody killed you. in this cases, everybody will say it's untimely because it's not expected to happened.

this phrase has nothing to do with destiny, rather, it's how people feel about the way you die.

I think that's well said, badai. It's all about how we feel about the way the person died. Though it's interesting that we never say "timely death". Very Happy

Take care,

You are making this more complicated that it needs to be. The person died at a relatively young age, normally from an unexpected cause such as an accident, murder, suicide or disease that normally occurs later in life. Most of these time, the person was talented, so is especially missed by those who say his/her death was untimely. No one's death is really timely as we usually do not choose the time.
