Motorcycle

I'm currently driving a 2000 Mazda 626 LX V6. I'm wanting to stop driving that and buy a motorcycle so that I can save on gas money, and have some fun in the process. I'm looking for a sport bike and have never ridden. Before I purchase my bike I will be learning, but need to know what people think would be good for me to learn on.

I'm looking at:

Kawasaki Ninja 500R
Yamaha YZF-600R
Kawasaki ZZR600
Suzuki Katana 600 (Don't really like the looks of this one)

It's a good idea to change your vehicle to a motorcycle to save gas and and it's cool to ride a motocycle too. But I think it is dangerous too.. compare when you ride a four wheels vehicle.
