I have an iriver h10 6gb. The harddrive spins and spins and spins forever when turned on, but it does not boot. When connected to a computer, the computer recognizes it as a USB mass storage device, but the drive is not displayed. Anyone know of a place or person that would recover the mp3 files off of the drive for less than $50? Everyone I call wants $1000, $500, and $100. I am for sure not willing to pay $100 for files to be recovered that are not worth $100 in the first place. Any ideas? Thanks.
MP3 player hard driver recovery?
if the hardware is damaged, it will be very expensive. $500 is standard rate.
Those rates are actually pretty good. To get a reliable data recovery service to pull data from a dead laptop drive is usually $1100 OR MORE.
I think you are out of luck... Sorry.

Bummer. That's really expensive. If college was in session right now I could take it over to those tech support people I'm pretty sure they would do it free. Right now, I'm going to have to wait until September for that.
