Firefox won't play...Flash Files? - SOLVED

LostOverThere
I've installed Quicktime and well, ever since I installed it I haven't been able to watch any flash movies, or any movies off sites like YouTube, Google Video, etc. All coming up with the "File not compadible with Quicktime" logo.

Now, I've unticked Firefox to open these files with Quicktime but it still trys to. Also, for some reason even if I installed Flash Player 9, it still uses Flash 7.

Thanks in Advance.

What Operating System and version of firefox are you using?

Type in about:plugins in the address bar and press <Enter>.
And, tell us what what did you see there. If not, post a screenshot of the about:plugins window here.

Firefox is probably set up to use the Quicktime module for handling flash files. Type about:config in the address bar,
and search for the phrase plugin, and try to find something related to flash. If you do, then post here, and explain exactly what you've found.

Try to install the newest flash player and Quicktime alternative. This is free version of official Quicktime with difference that it consumes much less system resources and there aren't so much problems like in official version.
btw: Can you play movies in Internet Explorer?

Because you need.... flash?

Uninstall quicktime, then install flash, then reinstall quicktime... Fixed?

Thank you so much mystzero, I found the problem and well...deleted the DLL (easy way out). I know you're not meant to but it was only conflicting with a few other file types that flash should be opening.

Thanks to everyone else for the help!
