Heres a photo that I created using The Gimp and the tutorial listed below. Have fun creating your own worlds, and then post them here!

Make your own using PS or The Gimp:

That's interesting, good job - I might try that myself.

Awesome, someone actually using the GIMP instead of Photoshop. One more point for open source software. I'll have to try this out later when I get a chance then maybe I'll post my finished image.

Nice first attempt, Loghete. You could try what I did for my world. I took 6 photos of the soccer field and stitched them all together into one huge panorama shot. I was able to get the entire 360 degree view of the area that way. I didn't use a tripod, so where the ends joined is a bit obvious. Give it another try using this technique instead of just one photo.

irishmark, I like the mood that your photo evokes. Very thought provoking.

Well, my camera just supports 5-photo panoramas, so I can't get a full 360. Though, if I don't use the function.. but it doesn't get as good then. Confused

I never would have thought of making a star planet. Great idea.
Loghete, your second photo is 100% better. Was that taken in Finland?
