Hyderabad Bomb Blasts

As some of you might be aware, there was a bomb blast in Hyderabad recently in Mecca Masjid, one of the oldest Mosques in India located near Charminar in Old City of Hyderabad.

There were several people dead and many injured. News reports say that the people behind these blasts were muslims. This makes me wonder about how extremist Muslims, who were killing others are now killing their own! Sounds funny...

Also, one more important thing for Muslims living in India and world wide, these blasts in Hyderabad has evoked a very strange reaction. SMS and emails have been going around...You might think that these messages are about being horrified about the blasts...No...actually, the messages say "Only 12 Muslims dead?! Damn! The bombers should have been more careful!"

An email reads "Today is a very sad day in the history of Hyderabad City. A great opportunity where hundreds of muslims could have died turned into a tragic incident where only 12 of them ended up dead"...

These messages are from normal people, working in software companies, marketing guys, college girls....Why do you think most of most of Indians are developing this attitude towards Muslims? Is it a time for Muslims to do a major rethink about themselves?

This is really a very bad news.

Groups are making India a terror spot. But that is never going to happen. In the world, we see people of same color - religion - creed kill each other for some or other reason. But in my mind, India is great that no things have shaked our spirit or unity.

Thanks to everyone who have done this.

I see million smiles a day - where i find not only happiness but also feel the unity.

In the past such acts have been perpetrated by hindu terrorist groups, this time it looks no different. They achieve many goals through such acts, the most important one is victory in elections.

With CCTV and police security removed just days before the blast there might just be a political angle.

|sigh| Honestly, it's a very open target. I doubt the indian government has the resources necessary to secure every possible target. They need to work on eliminating the cause of the philosophy, and so far i haven't seen much effort by the current government to that end.
