Is online surveys really make you rich? or is it just a scam?

They almost promise you money.
All they give you is an entry into some supposed sweepstakes.

It's not all scams. Actually a few companies specialize in targeted surveys that pay you money and they do mail it out. It isn't a source of income and they can be really long and selective meaning you don't qualify. Generally if you can't find a known company that pays people to do surveys... it's probably a scam.
are there any ways to know whether the sites are for scamming or if they actually give out cash prizes and other goods? i recently signed up for teen surveys for couple of dollars ranging from 1 to 20, or maybe more, but i am not really sure how the system works.

They are pretty much all scams. Most of the sites are using the promotion as a way to build a database of quality email accounts, which they can then direct market to via the responses from the surveys. Good luck.
maybe some of the are scam, but probably not all of them. But I am sure it wouldn't make you rich.
