What unicode colliation should I use for MySQL?

Mgccl
First I have to chose between
ucs2 or utf8
which one is better at storing different languages? and what's good about one of them and not the other?
Then, should I use the general_ci or bin? what's the difference?
JayBee
with UCS2 (there is also enhanced version UTF-16) is every character stored as 2 bytes (or more)
with UTF-8 is every character from ascii table (0-127) stored as 1 byte and other characters are stored as 2 and more bytes

Both can store relevant data, UTF-8 is effective for English and languages with diacritics. I don't know how about Chines/Japanese/Korean and its efficiency.

I personally use UTF-8.

In those cases, UTF-16 is better.
