I applied for adsense and got accepted. So, just started placing them around my blog. Can anyone go check it out and see whether the ad placements are good? And effective?

Why do you have the ads below the last blog entry and not to the side? Not a criticism but just curious as to your line of thinking.
The ads placement that you have now is alright. I think you should put another ad at the right under the links there maybe while people are browsing through the links they would go and click a Google ad under there.
Change the link color to match the color of your titles. That makes them blend in more.
Ad placement looks pretty good, not too intrusive. I like that you have a meebo widget too!!
Thank you everyone! Well, the reason I might not place ads on the sidebar is that I do not have much experience on tampering with PHP code and all, so would not like to mess it up.

It looks pretty good, and the adds aren't obtrusive or annoying at all. Kudos on the nice placement. And what appears to be a good website/blog.
