This is about Brain waves... which are named as Alpha(8-12), beta(12-26) , gamma(26 - 100), delta(4-8 ), theta(less than 4).. according to frequency?

Why they were named with some random order of Greek Alphabets?

I think it's just the order in which they were discovered..

Changing the established order of anything is never a good thing. It would cause too much confusion if they were changed. Everyone (well, most people at least) knows what Alpha waves are, they're those one you get when you're meditating or whatever.
Bikerman
Alpha wave frequency = 8 to 13 Hz......(Berger 1929)
Beta wave frequency = 13 to 30 Hz......(Berger 1929)
Theta wave frequency = 4 to 7 Hz.......The term "gamma" wave was used for a short time for very high frequency
Delta wave frequency = 0.5 to 4 Hz......brain waves, but this term was abandoned. In 1936, Walter introduced the term
............................................................"delta" and he added "theta" for those brain waves between 4-7.5 Hz.
