Sad Dunno whether this topic has already been made but:
i am probably going to get a domain and i have a frihost account and i was wondering if i could use frihost to host my domain for free?

Please help. I have found Frihost's services excellent and I would like to use the same excellence on my website.

You can easily configure a domain with frihost. Here are few steps which might be useful.

1. Buy a new domain.
2. If you're domain registrar would provide with some kind of interface to do administrative/management tasks for your domain, then point your domain to these nameservers:
ns1.frih.net
ns2.frih.net
3. In the DirectAdmin interface, go to Domain Setup under "Your Account".
4. Add your new domain by clicking the "Add Another Domain" link.

Why, NO!

You're allowed to host as many domains as you wish on your FRIHost account.

I've got my domain but i need help setting it up.
I've got:
-Mail Servers
-A Records
-Name Servers

Which ones do I change and how?
Animal
You need to change the nameservers to ns1.frih.net and ns2.frih.net. Once you've done so, log into DirectAdmin, hit Domain Administration and create the new domain.

Thanks, but does Squirrelmail still work?

And it asks for a NS IP address. What is this?

Yes, you will still be able to access squirrelmail from http://www.yourdomain.com/squirrelmail

ns1.frih.net -> 216.32.85.170
ns2.frih.net -> 216.32.85.171

When i registered my domain, it only had forwarding and it forwarded to my old site.
Now, when I go to http://www.mydomain.com, it redirects. And when i go to http://mydomain.com, it goes to my frih account. Any help?

Where did you buy your domain from?
Maybe you're talking about some free domain where they only allow a redirection service and don't actually give you DNS control?
minik
No. Mine's .co.uk. I've sorted it out now, though. Thanks Wink
